SunRice White Medium Grain Rice

Medium Grain Rice is a round, tender and succulent grain, allowing it to lock in moisture when it is cooked. This rice is often used in dishes that require a bit more creaminess, like paella or risotto. It is also ideal in your favourite Middle Eastern, Korean and Spanish dishes and is a good choice for delicious desserts. All rice is naturally gluten free.

Method

  • In the slow cooker, combine beef, taco seasoning, onion, capsicum, garlic, passata, tomato paste, salt, and pepper. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6+ hours.

  • After the initial cooking time, add the SunRice Medium Grain White Rice with hot stock. Cook for an additional 45 minutes on high or until the rice is tender.

  • Once the rice is cooked, sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top, close the lid, and cook until the cheese is melted about 5 minutes.

  • Serve in bowls.

  • Mix avocado with lime juice, then serve this on the side along with sour cream, fresh coriander and a few corn chips. Add some Tabasco or pickle jalapenos on top for a kick.
