  • 300 g SunRice Jasmine Rice

  • 2 Egg (beaten)

  • 30 ml Vegetable oil

  • 2 Spring onion (sliced)

  • 200 g Chopped ham

  • 1 Carrot (grated)

  • 15 ml Sugar

  • 2 tsp Chicken stock powder

  • 30 ml Shaoxing rice wine

  • Powdered chicken stock (to taste)

  • 100 g Frozen peas

  • 15 ml Sesame oil

Jasmine

Jasmine rice is a fragrant long grain varietal that is perfect in southeast Asian style dishes. This grain will be slightly sticky but still fluffy. Its separating qualities and natural fragrance compliment many spices, making it a great choice for a wide variety of fried rice, stir fries and curry recipes.

Method

  • Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium heat.

  • Add chopped ham and fry until slightly crispy.

  • Mix beaten eggs with cold SunRice Jasmine Rice until well combined.

  • Add spring onions, grated carrot, and frozen peas to the wok.

  • Stir in sugar, then add the eggy rice mixture on top.

  • Fry until the rice starts to crisp.

  • Splash with Shaoxing rice wine and toss.

  • Season with powdered chicken stock to taste and drizzle with sesame oil before serving.

  • Hints: Use day-old cooked SunRice Jasmine Rice for best results.
