This recipe was originally designed for 4 people. Amended serving sizes for 1, 2, 6, and 8 people are intended to serve as general guidance only. Cooking times may need to be adjusted to suit your amended serving size.
  • 450 g SunRice Steamed Long Grain Rice

  • 2 tsp Vegetable Oil

  • 600 g Thin Beef Sausages

  • 500 g Curried Sausages Simmer Sauce

  • 1 cup Frozen Peas

  • 1 Large Carrot (sliced and cooked)

Long Grain

White long grain rice is your go to grain for a versatile dish. It has long, slender grains, that when cooked, remain separate. This results in a light and fluffy rice that absorbs the flavours of your cooking. It is the perfect partner to a stir-fry, casserole or a stew.

Method

  • Heat oil in a large non-stick frying pan over a medium heat. Add sausages and cook, turning occasionally for 8 minutes. Remove sausages from frying pan and drain oil away. Cut each sausage into thirds and add back to frying pan.

  • Add simmer sauce to sausages and simmer 6 minutes or until sausages are cooked through, stirring occasionally. Add peas and carrot and simmer for 1 minute longer.

  • To cook the rice, simply massage the pouch to separate the grains and place in the microwave for the required time as indicated on the packet. Serve Curried Sausages with rice.
