This recipe was originally designed for 2 people. Amended serving sizes for 1, 4, 6, and 8 people are intended to serve as general guidance only. Cooking times may need to be adjusted to suit your amended serving size.
  • 250 g SunRice Steamed organic Brown Rice

  • 2 tsp Vegetable Oil

  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil

  • 2 Green Onions (thinly sliced, plus extra, to serve)

  • 1 clove Garlic (crushed)

  • 60 g Snow Peas (trimmed and halved diagonally)

  • 400 g King Prawns (peeled and deveined, tails intact)

  • 2 tsp Chilli Paste (crushed chillies)

  • 1 pinch Salt (to taste)

Brown Rice

Retaining all the goodness of Mother Nature, the nutritious bran layer of brown rice is not removed at milling, giving brown rice its nutty flavour and firmer texture.

Method

  • Place vegetable oils in a frying pan or wok over a medium-high heat.

  • Add green onions, garlic, snow peas and and prawns and cook, stirring for 3 minutes or until prawns are just cooked through. Turn off heat.

  • To cook the rice, simply massage the pouch to separate the grains and place in the microwave for the required time as indicated on the packet. Add to prawn mixture along with chilli paste and salt. Stir to combine.

  • Serve topped with extra sliced green onions.
